Enrollment Marketing
We help support the Chancellor and the Colleges with graphic designs and advertising campaigns needed to meet our FTES enrollment targets. Whether it be billboards or transit signs, radio or TV spots, online or social media advertising, newspaper ads, or direct mail to the community, the Marketing Department can help.
Publications
We design and layout brochures and other printed materials as well as provide graphic design and photography services. If you need graphic services for your class, a department, or a new program, just let us know. We also layout and publish the PDF class schedules.
Announcements & Community Relations
We handle announcements at Peralta, via internal email, to let our colleagues know what is going on throughout the District. We also have a community email service, HubSpot, to get the word out to the public about news at Peralta.
Media Relations
We can pitch a success story or news item about a college program, a class, or faculty and student recognition to the news media. We can also help if you are contacted by a reporter. Our Executive Director, Mark Johnson, is a spokesperson for the District and handles all media inquiries. We have contacts with editors, columnists, and journalists throughout the Bay Area and the State. Please let us know if you have a story you would like to see in the media.
Peralta Gems
We post and distribute numerous news stories and/or announcements about Peralta each week. We use our website, HubSpot email system, and social media to get the word out about news at the Peralta Colleges. Send us any items you wish us to publicize on Peralta Gems and make sure you check out our homepage regularly for frequent updates:

KGPC 96.9 FM, Peralta’s Community Radio Station
Peralta was awarded a rare FCC low-power FM community radio station license in 2015, and we have transitioned our former Internet station, 9th Floor Radio, to a full FM broadcast station. KGPC can be heard in the East Bay at 96.9 FM from 7 p.m.-7 a.m. every day, and streaming over the Web 24/7. In addition to the over-the-air broadcasts, more than 20,000 of our podcasts were downloaded last year. We have a mix of students, staff, and community members presenting a diverse range of programs. Several faculty members are having their students produce radio programs as part of their curricula, and a number of student clubs and associated student groups have regular shows. We are always looking for more involvement from our students and faculty. Let us know how you or your students would like to get involved. There are many programs you can stream on-demand, or you can listen live at
YouTube

Social Media
We maintain Peralta’s various social media sites, which include Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Linkedin, and YouTube. We have over 12,500 social media followers and post hundreds of items about classes and programs over the course of the semester. We often help students by answering their questions on social media. In many ways, our social media presence is Peralta’s public face, accessible to thousands in the community. Several mayors, council members, educational leaders, and higher education reporters are among our followers. Here are our main sites:
