The following is a checklist of items that must be submitted when you complete the OIE’s International Application (Step 3) at .  We can accept many of these as a pdf or jpeg.

All items must be received in English.

Bank Statement $26,344
F-1 international students must demonstrate that they have sufficient funding for up to 1 year in order to have an I-20 issued. The Bank Statement must be issued within six months of application and include the following information:
  • Bank institution name and contact information
  • Date of issuance
  • Name of the Account holder
  • Type of Account (i.e. checkings, savings, etc...)
  • Final balance
  • English Translation (if applicable)
Please visit our Tuition and Fees Page for the current estimate for this year. This is the amount that must be submitted with your application. Students who have dependents (F-2) spouses/children must also show additional funding.
Diploma(s) & Transcript(s)

Please submit the highest level for each item translated in English

    • Proof of completion of College/University
  • Transcript(s)
    • Complete High School/Secondary transcripts
    • Complete College/University Official Transcripts
English Proficiency

All applicants need to provide results identifying their current English proficiency.  Applicants with English proficiency of High Intermediate level or below will be issued an I-20 for the ESOL program. High Intermediate is equivalent to: iBT<67, IELTS <6.4, Duolingo<89, and GSP Level 3 or lower. Upon successful completion of Language Training, students will continue into Associate's level coursework.

  • Applicants may submit a test score taken within two years, that demonstrates English proficiency.  Accepted tests include TOEFL, IELTS, Duolingo, and iTEP.
  • Applicants who have not taken an English proficiency exam will instead complete Peralta's Guided Self Placement (GSP). The GSP link is provided in the International Application.
  • Applicants whose native language is English or who have taken college-level courses at a U.S. college/university can provide documentation on this instead.

Essay
A personal essay, 500 words minimum, detailing why you have chosen to attend the Peralta Colleges, your educational and career goals.
Medical Examination Form
Applicants must provide a document showing their Immunization history and Tuberculosis status.
  • Document from a medical physician or
Passport Bio Page
  • A clear copy of your unexpired Passport Bio Page

Affidavit of Support (Form I-134)

Applies to All Applicants:

  • This form is for all applicants who have a U.S. sponsor who will support their studies financially.
  • (Form I-134) Download the PDF and then upload the completed form to ISP; do not use "File Online" with the USCIS button
Dependant Information Form

Applies to All Applicants:

  • If you are requesting that your spouse or child will enter as an F-2 dependent please submit the  along with your application
Transfer Students Required Documents

Applies to Transfer Applicants. Transfer applicants must submit these items with their application:

  • Transcript from the school you are currently attending
  • Copies of all I-20’s
  • Copy of their F-1 Visa page (if unexpired)
Transcripts from all U.S. Colleges/Universities

Applicants who have attended any U.S. colleges or universities should upload as one file, all unofficial transcripts from the U.S. colleges and universities that you have attended. Transcripts must include your name, semesters, courses, and grades.
